Registration deadline
Today is the last day for voters to register by mail or online for the Nov. 5 general election or for previously registered Washington voters to change the addresses where they receive their ballots.
Voters who want to register by mail can get material at most libraries and post offices, or they can download forms from the Snohomish County elections website or the Secretary of State’s website.
Eligible voters with a state issued driver’s license or ID may register to vote online at www.vote.wa.gov. New Washington voters can register through Oct. 28, but they must register at the auditor’s office., which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
Benefit dinner, auction: Diamonds in the Fall, a benefit dinner and auction for Quilceda Community Services, is set for 5-11 p.m. Saturday at the Port of Everett, 1205 Craftsman Way. There will be food, dancing, music by Bad Habit Band of Seattle, and an auction. Tickets are $50.

Planning a trip? “Learn for Life: Sno-Isle Travel and Language Databases” will be held 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Mukilteo Library, 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.
