Village Theatre has added several performances of “Mary Poppins” to the run of the musical at Everett Performing Arts Center. Sherrill Dryden, who manages the center, said excellent seats are still available.

The show opened Friday in Everett and runs through Feb. 8.
Mill Creek council meeting time change: Tuesday’s meeting of the Mill Creek City Council will begin at 5:30 p.m., a little earlier than originally scheduled. Council members will interview seven candidates for an open seat and might choose a successor to Mark Harmsworth, who resigned after winning election to state House of Representatives.
Fales Road fire station underway: A plan to build a new fire station on Fales Road is still in the works.
Snohomish County Fire District 7, based in Clearview, is working on an agreement for an architect to start design, Fire Chief Gary Meek said.
“We’re moving forward with it,” he said.
The district plans to close two existing stations to open the new one at 19424 Fales Road. Construction could start later this year.
Burn ban canceled: The burn ban for Darrington was canceled Tuesday due to a changing forecast.
