Marysville Clean Sweep targets graffiti
Marysville’s annual citywide cleanup and beautification program will return to its roots in removing graffiti this year. Clean Sweep week begins Sunday, but a day has been set aside to focus on painting over graffiti in select locations Saturday, April 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. To volunteer for the graffiti eradication day, call Mike Robinson at 360-363-8406 or send an email to mrobinson@marysvillewa.gov.
Pancakes for scholarships: The South Everett Lions Club holds a pancake breakfast, 8 a.m. to noon April 16 at Cascade View Presbyterian Church, 1030 E Casino Road. The event is a fundraiser for scholarships to benefit Cascade and Mariner high school students. Pancakes with syrup, eggs, ham, biscuits and gravy, and beverages costs $8; children age 5 and under eat free. For more information, call 425-337-0959.
Gain skills in CPR: The North County Regional Fire Authority, based in Stanwood, has openings for upcoming classes on first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The next class is April 16. The classes are offered monthly and cost $30.
