Front Porch: McCollum Park pool opens Saturday

Snohomish County’s heated outdoor pool at McCollum Park is scheduled to open Saturday. Swim lessons start Monday.

The address is 600 128th St. SE, Everett. The pool is scheduled to stay open through Sept. 3. The complete pool schedule is available at www.snocoparks.org.

Fourth parade: Trinity Lutheran College in downtown Everett is offering reserved seating for senior citizens for a front row seat for Everett’s annual July 4th parade. The college will also provide free parking for all parade goers.

In conjunction with the city, the college will provide a priority seating section for senior citizens under tents located at the corner of Wetmore Avenue and California Street. Water, coffee and snacks will be available in the Campus Center lobby, as well as access to restrooms.

The seating area will open at 10 a.m., just ahead of the 11 a.m. parade.

Reservations must be made by June 30 by calling Deb Wendt at 425-249-4716.

The college will also open its parking garage, located at 1712 California St., free of charge on July 4 to community residents who wish to participate in the parade.

Benefit yard sale: Safe Harbor Free Clinic in Stanwood has scheduled a yard sale beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at the grassy knoll across the street from the American Legion office, 26921 88th Ave. NW. Shoppers can find items for the outdoors and for use as home furnishings. The sale will benefit the clinic, which provides walk-in medical care and referral services to uninsured and low-income patients on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The clinic is at 9631 269th St. in Stanwood.
