The Retired Public Employees Council Chapter 6 meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett, 3025 Lombard Ave. This month’s speaker is Jesse Haugh, of Benefits NW, to discuss Medicare and supplemental insurance options for 2017. AMTEC open house: Everett Community College celebrates National Manufacturing Day with public tours of its Advanced Manufacturing Training and Education Center, 9 a.m.-noon Friday. The center, which opened in 2014, recently expanded, adding eight classrooms and a mechatronics lab. AMTEC is located on EvCC’s north Everett campus at 909 N Broadway.
Disaster preparedness: The city of Mill Creek has scheduled a Map Your Neighborhood workshop that will discuss the importance of working with neighbors during a disaster.
