Snohomish recreation
The Snohomish parks board has scheduled a public meeting from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the future of recreation in the city. The board will accept comments on a draft parks, recreation and open space plan for 2015-35. The meeting is at the Carnegie Building, 105 Cedar Ave. People also can submit written comments to the city of Snohomish until Friday. End-of-life decision-making: Join a free class about how to live well at the end of life by making choices about health care. Topics covered include how values and choices can help determine issues such as what life-sustaining treatments you want, what documents you need so that your choices are known to others and who will make medical decisions for you if you are unable to speak. The class is set to begin at 12:15 p.m. Dec. 14 at Edmonds Lutheran Church, 23525 84th Ave W. A free light lunch will be provided. To register, call 425-744-8090.
Firefighters hold food drive: Santa joins Marysville firefighters for a food drive from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday to benefit the Marysville Community Food Bank. The drive will be at Safeway, 1258 State Ave. Santa will hand out candy canes. Donations of food, unwrapped toys and cash will be accepted.
