Mill Creek Parks &Recreation is hosting its annual 3-on-3 “Main Street Madness” basketball tournament July 7.
The tournament will be at the City Hall Annex building parking lot, 15720 Main St.
Tournament divisions are: Men’s open 18-30; Men’s 30-45; Men’s 45 &over; Women’s open; Co-ed 18 &over; and Youth Divisions: grades third &fourth, fifth &sixth, seventh &eighth, and ninth though 12th.
Early Registrations submitted by June 15 will receive event T-shirts. The final registration deadline is June 29.
Fees are $110 for adults, $90 for youth.

Foodie book group and potluck: Each month, read a different food-related book and discuss it over a potluck made from recipes inspired by the reading.
First up is “The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake” on Monday at 6:30 p.m. at 23300 58th Ave. W, Mountlake Terrace.
Free microchips for pets: Snohomish County residents are eligible to have free microchips implanted in their dogs and cats this Sunday.
About 200 microchips are available at the event, set for 10 a.m.-noon at the Building 608 at Evergreen State Fair, 14405 179th Ave SE, Monroe.
Cats must be in carriers and dogs must be leashed.
The event is sponsored by the Snohomish County Animal Advisory Board, the County Auditor’s Licensing &Animal Services Division, volunteer veterinarians and vet techs.
