Open house Sunday at Stanwood Library
The Stanwood Library now will be open Sundays.
Celebrate at an open house at 2 p.m. Sunday at 9701 271st St. NW in Stanwood.
The Stanwood-Camano Friends of the Library and the staff of Sno-Isle Libraries are planning the event, which will feature refreshments, stories for children, and the unveiling of an original Jack Gunter painting that was commissioned by the Friends of the Library for the children’s area.
Starting Sunday, library hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.
Veggies in Mill Creek: A weekly farmers market is scheduled to start Friday at Willis Tucker Community Park.
The market will set up in the parking lot at 6705 Puget Park Drive from 3 to 7 p.m. Fridays throughout the summer.

Support Snohomish police: The Snohomish Police Foundation offers a Starbucks fundraiser. The foundation will be selling T-shirts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday outside the Starbucks at 1101 Avenue D.
The T-shirts protest heroin trafficking in town.
Anyone who buys a shirt will get a coupon for a free tall drink.
The Snohomish Police Foundation is a nonprofit that raises money to support police programs in Snohomish.
