A Pearl Harbor service is planned at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eternal Flame at the Snohomish County Courthouse, 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett.
Naval Station Everett will commemorate Pearl Harbor World War II Remembrance Day.
Ceremony in Edmonds: Firefighters from Snohomish County Fire District 1 offer a ceremony today to mark the arrival of a steel beam recovered from the ruins of the World Trade Center in New York City.
The beam will become the centerpiece of a future memorial at the Fallen Firefighter Memorial Park in downtown Edmonds.
The ceremony beings at noon at Fire Station 17, 275 6th Ave. N., Edmonds.
A police motorcade will escort a truck carrying the beam to the fire station from Fire District 1 Headquarters, 12425 Meridian Ave. S., Everett.
The motorcade will depart at 11:30 a.m. and will travel on southbound I-5 to 220th Street SW, then head west to Edmonds.
