Plant trees in Brier
The Snohomish Conservation District and city of Brier are seeking volunteers to help plant trees along Brierwood Park.
The event is planned from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the park, 2655 Elm Drive, Brier.
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. Volunteers should dress for the weather, including sturdy shoes or waterproof boots and gloves.

Norwegian pancakes in Lake Stevens: A Norwegian Pancake Breakfast is planned from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 2111 117th Ave. NE in Lake Stevens.
Eat all the pancakes you want. They plan to serve ham and offer beverages for $5. Children 3 and younger eat for free.
Art market supports scholarships: Original art and gifts made by Western Washington artists will be for sale at the Holiday Art Market On The Sound.
The market is to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 5 at Rosehill Community Center, 304 Lincoln Ave., Mukilteo. It’s sponsored by the Mukilteo Arts Guild, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting the arts.
Proceeds from vendor booth fees go to the Mukilteo Arts Guild’s High School Senior Scholarship Fund. The fund awards scholarships to high school seniors pursuing higher education in the arts field.
Weekend bazaar: A Holiday Gem Bazaar is planned by the Everett Rock and Gem Club from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Everett United Church of Christ, 2624 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
