Quake memories?
Monday marks the 10th anniversary of the Nisqually earthquake. The 6.8-magnitude quake struck just before 11 a.m. on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, and caused one death, 407 injuries and considerable property damage in the Puget Sound area.

Artists needed in Terrace: The Mountlake Terrace Farmers Market is offering a competition for its annual poster. Submit works that showcase the “Bountiful Beauty of Pacific Northwest Agriculture.”
It’s open to all artists.
Submissions can be of any medium in a vertical format of 18 inches by 14 inches and must be original work. Selected work will be featured as the 2011 promotional poster, with the artists receiving $100.
Works must be received by April 1 and can dropped off at the Mountlake Terrace branch of Home Street Bank, 22001 66th Ave. W., Suite A, or e-mailed to the market manager, Erin Lane, elane@mltfarmersmarket.org.
