Cama Beach Quilters offer a show of their work on Camano Island.
It’s planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 1880 S. West Camano Drive.
“Quilts on the Beach 2” will feature 50 of the 150 bed-size quilts the group of women have made since 2002 for the cabins at the park. Many of the quilts will available for sale.
No Discover Pass is needed.
In addition to the quilts, which will hang from park buildings and cabins, there will be a number of quilt-related activities for all ages and interests in the Cama Center. “Tulips and Ties,” a queen-size raffle quilt made by the group to support educational activities funded by the Cama Beach Foundation, will be on display.
Ballots in the mail: The Snohomish County Auditor planned to mail out ballots this week for the Aug. 16 primary election. To be counted, ballots must be postmarked or placed inside an official county drop-box no later than primary election day.
The auditor on Wednesday mailed pamphlets with information about the candidates. Last year, some voters were upset when the auditor chose not to send out printed voters pamphlets.
If you are not registered to vote, you may register in person through Aug. 8 at the Auditor’s Office, 3000 Rockefeller Ave, Everett.
Radio club meets: Island County Amateur Radio Club offers a meeting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Island County Commissioners board room, 1 NE Sixth St. in Coupeville.
Review lessons learned from a national field emergency communications radio test last month.
