Raise grass-fed beef
Snohomish Conservation District’s lead farm planner Bobbi Lindemulder plans to talk about raising grass-fed beef from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Skagit Farmers Supply, 8815 272nd St. NW, in Stanwood.
She plans to cover the science behind raising a consistent product, proper grazing management, facility design, marketing and record keeping.
Lindemulder and her husband have a ranch in Duvall.
Help Edmonds arts center: Edmonds Center for the Arts is recruiting 40 new volunteers for its upcoming season.
Volunteers are needed to serve as ticket takers, ushers, concessions workers and bartenders, to work in administrative offices and to help with special projects.

Lowell history meeting: Organizers in Everett’s Lowell Neighborhood will hold a meeting to plan for the Lowell 150th celebration and to gather historical information on the neighborhood.
The meeting is at 1 p.m. Sunday at 4601 South Ave. in Everett.
The group is meeting to gather information for a book on historic Lowell as well as planning other events for Lowell’s 150th anniversary in 2013.
