Recycle electronics in Stanwood
The Stanwood-Camano Kiwanis Club is hosting a recycling event Saturday at 27001 94th Drive in Stanwood. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., people can drop off televisions, computers, monitors and other electronics to be disposed of safely. The event is a fundraiser for the Aktion Club within the Kiwanis Club. The Aktion Club is a service group for adults with disabilities.
Lake Stevens library needs board member: The Lake Stevens Library Board is seeking a new member. The board is responsible for keeping track of the condition of the library, gathering insight from people who use it and working with groups to raise money to support library programs. Applications are available at Lake Stevens City Hall, 1812 Main Street. They must be turned in to the city hall or the library, located next door, by Nov. 14. Mill Creek cancels council meeting: The Mill Creek City Council has canceled its Tuesday meeting due to the election. The next meeting is set for Nov. 11.
