Aquafest closures
Drivers and boaters could faces some problems during Aquafest this week.
The city of Lake Stevens is closing some roads and the public boat launch during the annual community celebration.
On Thursday, the city is closing Main Street from 4 to 11 p.m. from 18th Street NE to 16th Street NE. On Friday, the city is closing the following streets from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.:
Main Street from the entrance to Jay’s Market to 16th Street;
18th Street from Main Street to 127th Avenue;
125th Avenue from Lake Stevens Athletic Club driveway to 18th Street;
Lane closure (one-way traffic only) on N. Lake Shore Drive from Mitchell Road to Main Street.
Resident passes are being provided by the Lake Stevens Police Dept homes that require them.
Temporary road closures will also occur from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday from Hartford Drive along Main Street and again on Saturday from noon to 2:30 p.m. to accommodate the children’s and grand parade.
And the public boat launch will be closed from 5 a.m. Tuesday through 8 p.m. Sunday.
