Donate to scholarship
Scholarship funds have been set up for the sons of an Everett nurse who was killed in a vehicle accident May 12.
Donations can be made to the Rachael Kamin Memorial Fund at any Chase Bank branch or to the Rachael Kamin Scholarship Fund at HomeStreet Bank, 22001 66th Ave. W Mountlake Terrace, WA. 98043.
Health and Safety Fair: Lake Stevens fire and police departments plan to host the annual Health and Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Albertsons parking lot in Lake Stevens.
Admission is free. Health screenings are available. At least 40 booths are planned. A raffle will also take place for several prizes. Tickets are free as long as you visit several booths and get the volunteers to initial your raffle card.
Prizes include tickets for Everett Silvertips hockey games, Sonicare toothbrushes, massages and other items.
The Lions Club plans to bring its Mobile Health Screening Unit this year.
Lake Stevens Police will bring child identification cards and they will also have their boat available for tours.
The house that students built: The public is invited to celebrate the 38th anniversary of a joint carpentry education project between the Lynnwood Rotary Foundation and the Edmonds School District.
A reception is scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. today at the newly constructed house at 6404 208th St. SW, Lynnwood.
