Discuss Mountlake Terrace campus: A report on Civic Campus focus groups will be discussed at 7 tonight at the Mountlake Terrace City Council meeting at 6100 219th St. SW, Suite 220 in Mountlake Terrace.
Voters rejected a $37.5 million civic campus proposal last November. The city conducted a survey to understand why voters did not pass the measure. The council reviewed survey results in December and again at a planning retreat in June.
The council’s review in June resulted in a contract with Alison Peters Consulting to conduct two focus groups of Mountlake Terrace residents in July to gather feedback from voters.
Volunteers needed: United Way of Snohomish County needs volunteers for its annual Days of Caring. Volunteers will pitch in on Sept. 23 and 24 to help at sites around the county.
Projects include painting, building, cleaning, reading to children, and work to improve the environment.
Work projects for teams and individuals are listed online at www.uwsc.org. Registration for volunteers is open through Sept. 12, and agencies can register their projects through Aug. 31.
