The Herald is putting together a list of Snohomish County Christmas tree farms. Youth gospel choir forming: A community gospel choir for young people is forming in north Snohomish County.
Lyle Forde, retired Arlington High School Jazzmine and choral director, plans to lead the choir in Southern gospel-style music, which includes elements of jazz and blues.
Young people from eighth-grade through college age are invited to participate. Weekly rehearsals are at 7 p.m. Thursdays at Elim Lutheran Church, 11504 26th St., Lake Stevens.

Get ready for disasters: Learn about health, wellness and how you can prepare for an emergency, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Everett Community College’s Student Fitness Center, 2206 Tower St.
The community fair includes information presented by community health resources, plus EvCC’s nursing, physical education and athletic departments.
Emergency preparedness information will be provided by the city of Everett, EvCC’s Emergency Management Office and the Student Activities Programs Board. Enter a raffle to win prizes to help you be prepared for an emergency.
