Services for student
Public services are planned Thursday for Fedrick Nifasha, the 20-year-old Lake Stevens student who died Sunday. He’d been on life support since May 31, when he was found in the bottom of the Lake Stevens High School pool.
He had attended Lake Stevens and Jackson high schools.
Visitation is planned for noon Thursday at Purdy &Walters with Cassidy.
The memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Everett, 1616 Pacific Ave. A graveside service is planned at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Everett.
The family asks for donations to the father, Emmanuel Dismas, in care of First Baptist Church of Everett. The young man was one of eight children.
Kids class all about chocolate: Marysville Parks and Recreation is offering a Chocolate Factory for Kids class.
Have fun learning about the science of chocolate, play games and doing fun projects that all involve chocolate.
The class is planned from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jennings Park Barn, 6915 Armar Road.
Cost is $15 per person advanced registration with a $10 in class supply fee.
