Shoreline property workshop
Landowners in Snohomish County and Camano Island can learn about protecting and maintaining shoreline property during a free workshop March 28.
The workshop is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stanwood Senior Center, 7430 276th St. NW, Stanwood.
Topics include beach and bluff erosion and planting native vegetation for slope stability and habitat. Participants also will receive information on arranging free assessments by a private shoreline management professional to learn how to protect property. The program includes a talk by coastal erosion expert Jim Johannessen and an educational beach walk. Dress warmly and bring sturdy shoes for the beach.
