Mukilteo clean-up: Residents living within Mukilteo city limits can get rid of extra garbage on Spring Clean-Up days, to be held on regular trash pick-up days, Monday or May 1, under a program by the city, Rubatino Refuse Removal and Waste Management Northwest.
City leaders urge folks to consider donating useful items rather than tossing them. Local donation centers include the Northwest Center, 12108 Mukilteo Speedway, and Goodwill, which will have a special drop-off location at 4800 92nd St. from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
If tossing, items for pick-up must be bundled, boxed or bagged and placed at curbside with regular trash containers. There is no limit to the number of bundles; however, each must be light enough for an average person to lift. Branches and limbs must be wrapped or bundled in lengths of no more than three feet.
To arrange for pick-up of larger items, such as refrigerators or freezers, call 425-263-8064 by Friday. Remove doors from all appliances before placing at the curb.
Take in T’ai Chi: World T’ai Chi and Qigong Day will be celebrated in Lynnwood with a demonstration from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Veterans Park, 194th Street and 44th Avenue at the sound end of the Lynnwood Library parking lot.
People all over the world will do T’ai Chi on the same day at the same local time.
