Stuff a bus
The annual Stuff a Bus charity drive returns Saturday for its 12th consecutive year.
The goal of the campaign is to fill a 35-foot Everett Transit bus with donations for local families. Starting Saturday, volunteers will be on hand to accept nonperishable food, household items, and new, nonviolence-themed toys at two Fred Meyer locations: 12906 Bothell-Everett Highway, Everett and 18805 U.S. 2, Monroe. The bus will be available for donations from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 13.
In 2014, the campaign collected more than 5,700 pounds of food and enough toys and clothing to provide presents to 808 children.
Stuff a Bus is sponsored by the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 883 in partnership with Fred Meyer and Everett Transit. More information is available online at everetttransit.org/281/Stuff-a-Bus.
