Art show submissions
Darrington Strong Inc., is looking for pieces to display at its first art show during the Arlington- Stillaguamish Eagle Festival on Feb. 7. Local artists can submit paintings, photographs, carvings, sculptures and other creations to display that Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Darrington Community Center, 570 Sauk Ave. To learn more or submit a piece, email darringtonstrong@gmail.com.
Kindermusik in Marysville: Children will love exploring the world of music and movement in Kindermusik. Children 7 years old and younger will develop language skills, literacy, listening, problem solving, social skills, self-esteem and musicality. Classes are held Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning Jan. 27 at Marysville Library, 6120 Grove. Many class times are available. Lynnwood extends pot moratoriums: The city of Lynnwood has extended its moratoriums for recreational marijuana businesses and medical marijuana collective gardens for another six months. The City Council votes on both matters were unanimous.
