Parks board opening: The Snohomish County Parks Department has one opening for a person representing County Council District 2, which includes Everett, Tulalip, Mukilteo and nearby unincorporated areas. The 11-member Parks Advisory Board advises, consults and assists the parks director in making recommendations regarding plans for county parks and trails, budgets, capital projects, fee schedules and other issues. If interested, contact Russ Bosanko, 425-388-6602 or russ.bosanko@snoco.org.
Toll lane love: Street Smarts wants to hear from Snohomish County drivers who regularly pay to use the express toll lanes on I-405. Why do you pay a toll to travel the lanes? Tolls recently peaked at $9. Did you pay it? How much would you pay? Send an email to streetsmarts@heraldnet.com, or call reporter Melissa Slager at 425-339-3432.
