Front Porch: Terrace transfer station to be closed May 16-17

Terrace transfer station closure

Snohomish County is closing the Southwest Recycling and Transfer Station in Mountlake Terrace for repairs Saturday and Sunday.

The recycling area will remain open on those days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The facility is scheduled to return to normal operations May 18.

During the closure, garbage and yard waste will not be accepted at the Mountlake Terrace transfer station.

Customers may use Snohomish County’s transfer stations in Everett or in Arlington.

Interested in technology? The Mukilteo School District is taking a look at technology plans and seeks parents who are interested in sharing ideas about the topic. A meeting is set for 9:15 a.m. Friday at the school district’s Administrative Center, 9401 Sharon Drive in south Everett. The meeting is expected to last about 45 minutes.
