Free outdoor movies
Free family outdoor movies are coming back to Willis Tucker Community Park in Snohomish. The movies are Thursdays from July 14 until Aug. 18. Seating opens at 7 p.m. People can claim spots on the grass at the park. Snacks and soft drinks are available for purchase. Donations to support county parks are accepted. The first movie of the season is “Kung Fu Panda 3” at about 9:30 p.m. July 14.
Changes at McCollum Pool: The open swim hours at McCollum Pool are being reduced because of a lifeguard shortage. Public swims have been suspended through July 11 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. Call 425-357-6036 for the latest update on swimming hours.
Street fair: A street fair with live music, family activities and vendors is planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday in downtown Arlington. The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. For more information, go to arlingtonwa.org and click on “Upcoming Events.”
Cat class: The Community Cat Coalition provides a “Basic TNR: Trap, Neuter, Return” class from 2 to 4 p.m. July 10 at the Everett Animal Shelter, 333 Smith Island Road. The class is free, but registration is requested to cccowaTNRclass@gmail.com or Nancy at 425-330-2658.
