The cover story is about the Iraq elections that occurred last weekend. The cover photo features President George W. Bush when he landed on the Lincoln. The historic “Mission Accomplished” banner hangs in the background.
Red Cross benefit: Red Cross Trivia Night begins at 7:30 tonight at Shawn O’Donnell’s restaurant, 122 128th St. SE, Everett.
“Everyone who comes to Shawn’s on Tuesday will be contributing to helping others in their own community,” says Kristi Myers, Snohomish County Chapter director of development. “As part of our March Is Red Cross Month education campaign, we’re taking the Red Cross to the community.”
The restaurant is donating 20 percent of the proceeds to the Red Cross.
Railroad talk: Snohomish Railfans meet at 7 Wednesday night at Hilton Lake Fire Station, 3525 108th St. SE, Everett.
All railroad buffs are invited to see a slide show by a local railfan. They meet there the second Wednesday of each month, September through June.
Be a friend in Arlington: Arlington Friends of the Library meets at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library, 135 N. Washington Ave.
