Monday is the last day to update an existing Snohomish County voter registration online or by mail in time for the Feb. 9 special election.
Voters may register in person at the county auditor’s office through Feb. 1.
The upcoming election features ballot measures in the Arlington, Edmonds, Lake Stevens, Lakewood, Mukilteo, Stanwood-Camano and Sultan school districts.
Ballots are set to be mailed Jan. 8 to military and overseas voters and to all other voters on Jan. 21.
Lake Stevens bond meeting: The Lake Stevens School District is hosting a public meeting to talk about a bond measure voters will be considering in February. The meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Elementary School, 9315 4th St. SE. There’s another meeting at 5:30 p.m. to present the same information in Spanish. The school district is asking voters to consider a $116 million construction bond to build a new elementary school, early learning center and several new buildings at Lake Stevens High School. The election is Feb. 9.
Enhance Fitness: Group Health Medicare members are invited to take a low-impact aerobics class for free. The class, for ages 50 and older, runs 8:45-9:45 a.m. weekdays in five-week sessions at the Carl Gipson Senior Center, 3025 Lombard Ave. in Everett. The next session starts Thursday and continues through Feb. 11. No experience is needed. Non-Group Health Medicare members can take the class for $30 (three days a week per five-week session).
