YMCA Dash on July 4
The 15th annual YMCA Yankee Doodle Dash and Family Fun Run is scheduled for July 4 at 8:30 a.m. It starts at the Everett Family YMCA, 2720 Rockefeller Ave.
The 10K run will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by starts for 5K, one-mile and a dash for children. There will also be a costume contest and street fair.
The annual community event is a healthy way to start the Fourth of July, and proceeds from the race benefit the Everett Family YMCA’s Livestrong at the YMCA cancer-survivor program. Donations are also accepted.
Early-bird registration runs until June 28 for the 5K and 10K races. You can register online at ymca-snoco.org or at any YMCA of Snohomish County family branch.
Race fees start at $20, and you’ll receive a free cotton race shirt with registration. Runners can upgrade to a tech shirt for $10.
If you would like to be involved on race day, contact Jill Losik at 425-374-5703.
