YourVoice in Marysville
The Marysville School District has launched a page on the district’s website where the community can engage the district’s leadership.
The district plans to reach out to parents, staff, students and community members throughout the year to get input about pending decisions. The YourVoice page at www.msvl.k12.wa.us will be the focal site for feedback and discussion.
The project was launched with the help of the technology and communications firm K12 Insight.
“We’re here to listen, answer questions and solve problems,” Marysville Superintendent Becky Berg said in a news release. “While I may not be able to personally respond to every message, I do promise that all of your feedback will be read, reviewed and taken into account.”
Wreath ceremony for veterans: Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park is hosting an annual wreath-laying ceremony with the Navy Wives Club of America, Totem #277, and Wreaths Across America.
The cemetery will honor veterans buried in the veterans section at 9 a.m. Saturday. After a brief ceremony, donated wreaths will be placed by volunteers.
The wreath ceremony is to occur simultaneously with ones at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 750 other cemeteries across the country.
Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park is at 11111 Aurora Ave. N. in Seattle. If you would like to make a donation or participate in next year’s ceremony, contact Lorraine Zimmerman at lorraine.zimmerman@comcast.net.
