TACOMA — Authorities in Pierce County are searching for a fugitive who has been charged in the shooting death of his roommate.
Michael Boisselle, 34, was charged Friday with first-degree murder and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Investigators found Brandon Zomalt’s decomposed body at a home in South Hill after his blood was linked to debris found in a roadside fire in Auburn.
The News Tribune says on Aug. 13, an off-duty federal agent put out that fire and discovered blood-soaked carpet, a bullet and a section of kitchen flooring. Analysis of the blood eventually led investigators to Zomalt’s body.
According to charging papers, two witnesses told police Boisselle admitted to killing Zomalt. Prosecutors also said witnesses said Boisselle was tired of Zomalt living at his house and wanted him to leave.
