Rumor has it that tulips are already blooming in the Skagit Valley.
Not so.
Cold nights have slowed tulip growth, said Leo Roozen, president of Washington Bulb Co., and Jeannette DeGoede, owner of Tulip Town.
Every year, the exact time of the tulip bloom is a guess, but the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is always scheduled for the month of April.
For more information on what the tulips are doing, call 360-428-5959 or go to http://tulipfestival.org.
