The Washington Pilot’s Association and Paine Field will host a General Aviation Appreciation Days festival starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Snohomish County Airport at Paine Field, 3220 100th St. SW in Everett.
The free event will feature flights and demonstrations, and a pancake breakfast will benefit the Northwest Burn Foundation. Also, a Paine Field reunion is planned for all who have ever been associated with Paine Field.
The Museum of Flight’s Flying Gizmo Show will entertain at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. A Taste of Mukilteo is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Everett professor receives SPU honor
Kevin Bartlett of Everett has been selected professor of the year at Seattle Pacific University.
Bartlett has taught for three years at SPU, following a brief stint at Princeton University and graduate work at the University of Washington. A Dow Scholar from 1991-95, he teaches organic chemistry and is a past winner of the Bernard A. Nelson Award for Excellence in Organic Chemistry.
Errors bedevil crossword puzzle
