News partner changes format

Our TV news partner, KIRO-7, begins new programming on Monday.

The “CBS Evening News With Dan Rather” will begin at 5:30 p.m. weekdays, allowing KIRO to produce an hour-long weeknight edition of “KIRO 7 Eyewitness News” at 6 p.m. weeknights.

So what comes on at 5 p.m. instead of the local news? That stays the same. Thirty minutes of local news, as now, then the one-hour show at 6 p.m.

Corrections

* Law and justice funding makes up about 70 percent of the county’s $174 million general fund budget, not its $550 million total budget.

The number was incorrect in a Page A1 story Thursday about Sheriff Rick Bart considering a run for county executive.

* Planned Parenthood offers a free clinic for teenagers 2-4:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Planned Parenthood also runs a Teen Council in its Everett office each Wednesday night. The information was incorrect in a story on sex education on Page B1 Tuesday.
