The Reunion Theatre Group, a troupe of former Everett High School thespians, is putting on three performances of “The Curious Savage” in Everett this week.
Bob Henry, a retired Everett High School drama teacher, will direct the comedy, along with former student Janette Cochran-Reilley. “The Curious Savage,” by John Patrick, was the first show Henry put on at Everett High School in 1958, and some members of that cast will be introduced at intermission.
Shows are at 8 p.m. today and Thursday at Normanna Hall, 2725 Lombard Ave. Admission is $5. A $10 benefit performance is at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Elks Lodge, 2731 Rucker Ave.
Proceeds will go to the theater group, which began after Henry’s former students held a reunion party with their teacher in 2003.
Snohomish firm feeds TV crew
Snohomish-based Dream Dinners recently was called into action to feed the crew from “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” an ABC television show that brought a crew to Kingston to make over a home.
Dream Dinners’ Poulsbo branch whipped up lunch for 100 hungry workers. In less than 24 hours, the company loaded SUVs with 16 pans of chicken enchiladas, five vats of chicken and vegetarian chili, dozens of biscuits and six platters of pecan pie bars. Lunch was served in a cow pasture.
While they were setting up, host Ty Pennington filmed a scene about 10 feet away.
Correction
Island County does not have a tentative agreement with the Camano Yacht Club to use the club’s dock for a ferry landing. Information supplied by the county was incorrect in Kristi O’Harran’s column on Page B3 Tuesday.
