Don’t stop by the train station Wednesday and expect to buy a ticket to Aunt Martha’s house for the holiday. In 2003, 596,000 passengers rode Amtrak trains over the Thanksgiving weekend. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is usually the busiest travel day of the year on the Amtrak system.
Book now if you want to be sure of a seat next week. For more information, go to www. amtrak.com or call 800-USA-RAIL.
