Want a chance to hear from a teenager who found a way to begin better exercise and eating habits?

Rachel Daunais, profiled in a July 27 story in The Herald, will participate in a live online chat 4-5 p.m. today at www.heraldnet.com. The session is a chance for teens to talk to other teens about health and weight issues.

Parents are encouraged to ask Daunais how to talk to their kids about these issues. Daunais, 16, is a student at Marysville Pilchuck High School and is active in a hip-hop dance group. She participated in a recent YMCA class for teens that taught them healthy eating habits and provided them with personal trainers and help with strengthening and aerobic exercises.

The chat is part of The Herald’s yearlong series “Kids and Obesity: Stopping the Epidemic.”
