‘Rock and Soul’ coming to Everett

It’s official. Hall and Oates, Michael McDonald and the Average White Band will play the Everett Events Center Oct. 23.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. “Rock and Soul Revue” go on sale at 10 a.m. next Friday.

Tickets can be purchased at the events center box office, www. everetteventscenter .com, or by calling 866-EEC-TIXX. The events center box office is open noon-6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays.

Tickets are $39.50, $49.50 and $59.50.

The Hall and Oates Web site and several others announced the show in July, but the official announcement came Thursday.

Hall and Oates’ No. 1 hits include “Kiss on My List” and “Maneater.”

Treasures or junk, it’s all for sale

Cypress Way Community Church in Alderwood Manor will have an all-church yard sale 9 a.m.-5 p.m. today and Saturday at 20610 Cypress Way.

There will be all sorts of items, including books and clothing.

Stanwood to rally for troops Sept. 11

A rally for troops in Afghanistan and Iraq will be 3-7 p.m. Sept. 11 at Thrifty Foods, 8901 271st St. NW in Stanwood.

There will be booths by AdoptaPlatoon, the Children’s Iraqi Foundation and the We Care Foundation.

Also, music, a community card for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, postcards and get-well cards for those who have been injured in battle. Video messages for troops also will be taped. For more information, stop by Thrifty Foods or call Cathy De Rusha at 360-629-6091.
