Children’s drive reports success
When we wrote about the Iraqi Children’s Drive in July, it was just getting up and running with the help of a Stanwood-area family.
They’ve made remarkable progress.
Director Jennifer Crow said they have collected more than $20,000 in donations. She is still raising money for medical supplies, air conditioners and water pumps as well as staples, such as school books, pens and hygiene supplies.
The group was recently featured in a CNN broadcast.
The group needs donations and cash to pay for shipping costs. For more information, visit www.geocities.com /iraqichildrensdrive/ index.htm.
