Tonight, when magician Bruce Meyers tosses out the first pitch at the Everett AquaSox game, this being Friday the 13th, something very unusual may happen to the ball.
After the pitch, don’t be surprised if the catcher’s glove comes up empty.
Summer is bike time. Sharing Wheels, an Everett-based nonprofit organization, offers a bike rummage sale 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Everett First Baptist Church, 1616 Pacific Ave.
Adult and child bicycles of all styles will be on sale for $5 to $100, some ready to ride, some sold or offered for free “as is.” Bike wheels, parts, accessories and other items will also be priced to sell.
In addition to bike sales, Sharing Wheels is offering low-cost minor bike repairs that day for $5 to $20.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Sharing Wheels, which works with the Everett Gospel Mission, Cocoon House shelter for teens, Christmas House and other organizations to get unused bikes to people who need wheels.
No bike donations will be accepted during the rummage sale.
