Snohomish seniors picnicked in park
About 100 Snohomish seniors partook of burgers, hot dogs, homemade potato salad, beverages and dessert by the lake at Hill Park in Snohomish recently.
Chef Gordy Brockman from the Snohomish School District, with assistance from his wife, Becky, and family members John, Paul, Kirsten and Kaden, kept the seniors eating. The Brockmans donate their time to the picnic every year.
Food was supplied by Sysco Systems, thanks to the coordination of John Hager, owner of Collector’s Choice Restaurant. Guests included Snohomish Mayor Liz Loomis; Brad Nelson, director of support services for the city of Snohomish; Everett Olsen, longtime senior center supporter; and representatives from the Eagles, Rotary Club and Tillicum Kiwanis.
