Save money at transfer station
The city of Everett is offering coupons good for a $17 credit toward disposal of up to 360 pounds of garbage and yard debris at the Airport Road Recycling and Transfer Station.
The coupons are part of a pilot program through the city’s Office of Neighborhoods. Coupons are limited to one per household and are valid through Sept. 30.
The coupons are only available to Everett residents with proof of residency. Coupons are available through the north and south precinct police offices, the city clerk’s office at 2930 Wetmore Ave. and at the city utility billing office at 3200 Cedar St.
Show your car, help Camano’s seniors
People can sign up to show their vehicles at a car show to benefit the Camano Senior and Community Center.
The 17th annual Collector’s Car Show and Flea Market is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at the senior center, 606 Arrowhead Road. The cost is $18 to register a vehicle for the show.
A barbecue and live music are planned for the event. A beer garden is also planned. The event is sponsored by the Camano Senior Services Association.

Learn about PUD growth and vision
Public Utility District customers can learn how the utility is planning to meet growth through conservation and green renewable energy resources.
The PUD is reviewing its draft Integrated Resource Plan, which provides a long-term strategy for energy use.

Council to discuss waterfront project
A plan to redevelop the waterfront in downtown Edmonds is set for discussion at the next Edmonds City Council meeting.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 at the Public Safety Complex, 250 Fifth Ave. N.
For months, city officials and developers have been talking about redeveloping the antiques mall, Harbor Square and Skippers restaurant properties.
The City Council recently approved several provisions supporting the possible purchase of land for parks along the city’s waterfront.
