Community leaders headed for ‘jail’
Everett business and community leaders will be booked into “jail” as part of the March of Dimes Jail &Bail 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 8.
The cash they raise in “bail” will support efforts to improve the health of babies and prevent infant mortality.
After their mock arrest, the jailbirds will be issued a striped inmate shirt and be temporarily placed behind bars at the Flying Pig Brewery. While in jail, they must raise bail in the form of contributions from family, friends and co-workers.
For more information, or to volunteer for the event, call Stephanie Schuler at 206-624-1373, ext. 15.
