We published a photo on Tuesday’s Page B1 of a Mukilteo man tossing a crab pot off the pier at the Everett Marina.
However, crab season is closed, as a number of readers pointed out after Tuesday’s paper hit porches.
Crab season is closed until early June, said Steve Burton, biologist at the state Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Mill Creek office. The minimum fine for off-season fishing is $250. Burton said his agency will issue the man in the picture a ticket, if he can be found.
Burton said officers write hundreds of tickets for off-season fishing in the Everett area.
"Ask Martha," the column written by Martha Stewart that runs Thursdays in the pages of Home &Garden, is no longer available.
Because Martha Stewart was found guilty of obstruction of justice and lying to the government about a well-timed stock sale, the board of directors of Martha Stewart Living replaced her column with a new one.
"Living" will be a homemaking and entertaining advice column similar to "Ask Martha" and written by a rotation of experts from Martha Stewart Living magazine.
"Living" will run Thursdays in Home &Garden.
Due to an overwhelming demand for tickets to The Wiggles, a children’s show, will play an extra day at the Everett Events Center.
In addition to their two April 6 performances, The Wiggles will perform two shows April 7.
Tickets go on sale today for the extra shows, and good seats are still available for the April 6 performances.
The Wiggles’ PBS television show stars four Australians in red, blue, yellow and purple T-shirts, and is a favorite of children nationwide. Their show includes a green dinosaur who loves roses, a friendly pirate, a happy dog and a musical octopus.
Tickets are $15, $20, $25 and $30, not including service charges, and can be purchased at the arena’s box office, at www.everetteventscenter.com or by calling 866-332-8499.
