The festival committee says to expect to see a rainbow of colors begin to show later this week with full blooms by the start of April festivities.

Comedian Eric Blake will headline a Komics Kare comedy show to benefit the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation. Blake is a frequent headliner at Hollywood comedy clubs.

A Brain Awareness Week open house is planned 10:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday at the third floor, C lobby of the University of Washington Health Sciences Center, 1959 NE Pacific St., Seattle.
Hundreds of school children are expected to enjoy 14 interactive exhibits that teach children the wonders of the brain. They will also learn about the importance of protecting their brains, for example, by wearing bicycle helmets.
And they will see a model of a human brain.
Talented young singers ages 14 and younger will sing in a Radio Disney Superstar Kid Talent Search qualifying event 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood.
One local winner will receive a trip to Disneyland and a professional taping.
