    Award recipients will be recognized at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Everett PUD Auditorium, 2320 California St., Everett, by the Snohomish County DUI/Traffic Safety Task Force.

    All are invited to the annual awards ceremony.

    The task force was formed 21 years ago. Award recipients include law enforcement members, high school students, area businesses and others who have contributed to traffic safety in 2003.

    Dorthy Ottaway, a volunteer with Sarvey Wildlife Center in Arlington, says spring is baby animal time.

    That’s means rescue workers at the clinic will be swamped.

    A study on using stem cell research to eliminate baldness was published in the scientific journal Nature Biotechnology. The journal’s name was incorrectly reported in a story on Page A3 on Monday.
