A brochure is available for the popular annual Snohomish Conservation District native plant sale.
The color booklet lists native trees and shrubs that can be ordered ahead of time for the district’s annual sale March 5-6 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe.
The seedlings are bare-root or plugs and include such plants as fir, pine, birch, dogwood, salal and huckleberry.

Everett High School senior Carly Ingalls has organized a dog walkathon for a school project.
Her Santa Paws Walk will be 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at the Everett Animal Shelter, 2732 36th St., Everett.
Photos with Santa will be $5 per pose, and extra prints are $1 each. Walking your dog is free. There also will be a raffle.
