As we mentioned in the Dec. 15 FYI, 2-year-old Saraphia, who is blind, lost her Elmo Talk and Count Cell Phone toy, which included a Braille key pad.
Thanks to more than 20 wonderful readers who volunteered their child’s phones, Saraphia has a similar toy. Lynette Jacobson of Marysville gave Saraphia her 3-year-old daughter’s Elmo phone.
"My daughter has been carrying the phone with her everywhere," Saraphia’s mother said. "She loves it. I am going to put her name on this one with our phone number so hopefully it will not happen again. Merry Christmas and God bless."
If your group is collecting Christmas trees after the holiday, let us know soon. We will tell readers where to recycle their trees during the week after Christmas.
