Government: Federal, state and local offices are closed.
Schools: Closed.
Post offices: Closed.
Commerce: Most businesses and banks are closed.
Transportation: Community Transit is on a Sunday schedule and offers a modified commuter schedule Friday. Everett Transit is not running. Ferry service for Mukilteo and Clinton and Seattle and Bainbridge will be on a holiday schedule. Edmonds and Kingston will be on a Saturday schedule today.

According to AccuWeather.com, only a few American places are expecting a white Christmas today.
Snow cover is expected today in the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountains, the Rockies of Colorado, Utah, Idaho and western Wyoming and Montana. In the east, Santa should find snow-covered landing areas in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, western Pennsylvania and upper New England, and a narrow band along the Great Lakes.
