How deep was the snow?
The slide presentation "Celebrating Winter and the Holidays in Everett" by local historian David Dilgard will be offered at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Everett Public Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave.
The Snohomish County Museum and Historical Association invited Dilgard to show local places and events associated with past winter seasons.
The presentation is free. Refreshments will be served.
The Rotary Bikes for Tykes Round-up will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today at the Lake Stevens Haggens store, 8915 Market Place NE in Lake Stevens, and the Granite Falls Red Apple Market, 115 N. Granite Ave. in Granite Falls. Your used bikes, trikes and other riding toys will be cleaned and distributed to needy children for Christmas.
Look for our special "Thanksgiving Survival Guide" inside your Sunday paper.
As we do every year, we will run our food section on Sunday rather than Wednesday to give cooks time to incorporate the ideas and recipes into their holiday meals.
On Wednesday, in place of the Food section, we’ll run an expanded A&E section with holiday movie reviews.
A story on Page 27 of Friday’s A&E section misidentified the guest speaker at the Digital Arts Symposium sponsored by Henry Cogswell College in Everett. Tony White, a noted animator and instructor at the college, will discuss the art of classic animation during the symposium, which continues 10 a.m.-noon today at the Everett Performing Arts Center, 2710 Wetmore Ave.
